Storytime at Ladew Topiary Gardens: Animal Disguises
Many animals have their ways of disguising themselves to either hide from or fool other animals. Read about some of these fun, animal tricksters at Ladew’s Story time on Friday.These nature-themed programs are scheduled from April through October for ages 2-5 years with an adult. Weather permitting, sessions take place outdoors under shade trees in several gardens throughout the year. Story times take place at 10:30 – 11:15 am or 12:30 – 1:15 pm. Discover Ballet
Have an aspiring Angelina Ballerina in your life? Then you’ll want to check out the Discover Ballet lecture and demonstration Friday night at the Baltimore Museum of Art! The event will introduce ballet basics and performances of several famous ballet pieces. A Q&A session will be followed by an invitation for audience members to learn some basic dance steps. Parlez-vous français? Or have a xenophile/Fancy Nancy adoree at home? Then you won’t want to miss the Seton Hill French Festival on Saturday from noon to 5 PM! French Maid Races, Petanque, live music with Sac au Lait and Victoria Vox, kids dancing, a flea market, kid’s building a 6-foot Eiffel Tower, toddlers Tour de France on trikes, kids Grand Prix, sack races, crafts, face painting, hula hooping, stilt walking and a puppet show. Fall Fling at West Shore Park
Join the Waterfront Partnership for the 1st Annual Fall Fling on Saturday, October 20th from 2:30 to 8pm. This free event will feature some of the City’s best food trucks, beer, wine and mixed drinks, live music by the 8 Ohms Band from 2:30pm to 5pm and the Kelly Bell Band from 5:30pm to 8pm, and a Waterfront Kids Play Area.
