When I saw the photos from this local {{gorgeous}} cowgirl-inspired birthday party, I knew it had to be our first real party feature. Laura Beynon is the creative momprenuer behind Cupcakes and Lemonade, a Baltimore-based party and design company. {Oh yeah, you CAN find Laura’s stuff on Etsy.} Her three daughters all have birthdays in January, so every year the Beynons throw a big shindig for family and friends for ALL three girls. This year’s party? Wild West.

Here are some of my favorite details:

Of course, first thing to mention are all of the gorgeous paper goodies (like this fun invite!), created by Laura herself.

Fabulous cowgirl cookies, courtesy of Allyson Jane, and these-pictures-make-your-stomach-growl-chocolate-covered-oreos from Sweeties by Kim.

Cupcake Toppers from Cakes and Kids… simply the pièce de résistance in this ah-mazing dessert spread! Don’t you just love the ribbon banner, too?

Of course, setting is everything. The setting for this boot stomping good time? Claddagh Manor in Churchville, Maryland. Fantastic ‘horse’ ambiance and pony rides.

Face Painting by Funny Faces with Shari. Party guests really sparkled. Literally.

Super cute hobby horses created by Laura’s dad. Just adore these.

And one final detail that I just love? The make-your-own-caramel-apple bar. Trés cool — and a delightful cowgirl spin on the cupcake decorating idea. Plus anything that doubles as food and an activity at a kids’ party earns triple gold stars in my book.

You can check out more images and information about the hoe down — and find tons more party inspiration — on Laura’s blog. Be sure to follow Cupcakes and Lemonade on Facebook, too.
