On Sunday, September 30, 2012, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Y of Central Maryland will team up with former Orioles minor league baseball players for a FREE Youth Baseball Camp at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Family Center Y.
Run by Baltimore’s Professional Baseball Training staff and presented by Baltimore City Council President Bernard C.“Jack” Young, this camp is offered to youth ages 10-13. All youth will participate in hitting, infield, outfield and running drills and will be evaluated by Professional Baseball Training. Parents and league administrators will receive the evaluations, which will give players the tools to refine instruction heading into next baseball season.
In addition, several Mid-Atlantic Baseball Association and Metro travel teams will be in attendance looking to add players to their rosters for next season. These travel teams play in the most competitive leagues in Maryland, and all camp attendees will have the opportunity to be seen by the coaches.
Space is limited. To register, please visit http://pbt.vidstructor.com/PBTCityCamp or contact Rebecca Winslow at rebeccawinslow@ymaryland.org or 410-889-9622 for more information.
