A new fire rescue game teaches Children how fire fighters help people during a fire.
Children take turns saving each other from a ‘burning building’ as part of a new Fire Rescue Game, Fridays at 11 am, in the Fire Museum of Maryland. They perform the rescues in fire gear and with a play breathing apparatus to understand how fire fighters save people in an emergency. Children?s play-breathing apparatus developed from a gift from REI Lutherville-Timonium.

Heather is editor-in-chief of (cool) progeny. When not scouting the best in everything kid and family, you'll probably find her running The Weisse Group or adventuring around town with her daughter (the Bug) and husband. Can be won over with a good glass of wine or something homemade. Addicted to Pinterest. Only pretends to know what she's doing with her SLR, even though she's got a fantastic lens on it. Thankful it does most of the work for her.
Who, us? We’re putting (cool) back in to the crazy, upside down world of modern parenting. All about raising fun, fashionable, active little thinkers with a strong cuppa coffee on the side.

Takes the Cake. You may know Mary Alice from her reality tv days or from her work at Charm City Cakes, but around this little slice of internet, we adore her for her wit. We love a mom with the two must-have senses for parenthood: common sense and a sense of humor.
