Join the fun! The Pratt Library has summer reading programs for all ages, from June 2 through August 4, 2012. The Children’s Program this year is DREAM BIG READ.
Go to your local library and ask to sign up for the reading program. Write down the titles of the books you read (or someone reads to you) on the “Dream Big, READ” reading log, or color in one star on the time tracker for every 15 minutes you read.
After you’ve read or listened to 4 books or for 4 hours, come back to the library to get a free prize. Once you have read or listened to 8 books or for 8 hours total, you get the T-shirt shown below and are invited to your local library’s End of Summer Reading Party!
All of the libraries are having Summer Kick-Off Celebrations! Here’s the list:
Heather is editor-in-chief of (cool) progeny. When not scouting the best in everything kid and family, you'll probably find her running The Weisse Group or adventuring around town with her daughter (the Bug) and husband. Can be won over with a good glass of wine or something homemade. Addicted to Pinterest. Only pretends to know what she's doing with her SLR, even though she's got a fantastic lens on it. Thankful it does most of the work for her.
Who, us? We’re putting (cool) back in to the crazy, upside down world of modern parenting. All about raising fun, fashionable, active little thinkers with a strong cuppa coffee on the side.

Takes the Cake. You may know Mary Alice from her reality tv days or from her work at Charm City Cakes, but around this little slice of internet, we adore her for her wit. We love a mom with the two must-have senses for parenthood: common sense and a sense of humor.
