MONDAY: Pajama Story Time at the Cockeysville Library

Put the kids in their PJs and bring them to story time at the Cockeysville Library! Designed for ages 2-5 with a caregiver. Starts at 7 PM. MORE

TUESDAY: Schools Out Craft Special at Yankee Doodle Art Studio

Yankee Doodle Art Studio has open craft time all week! But if you stop by on Tuesday from 1 PM – 3 PM, there’s a special “school’s out” craft special! Open studio from 12 PM – 5 PM. Great for all ages! MORE

WEDNESDAY: Flag Day at the Star Spangled Banner House

The Star Spangled Banner House is celebrating Flag Day  — and their 90th Anniversary! A full day of events is planned, including museum tours and flag raising ceremony at noon. Families are invited to join author Kristen Fulton for a reading of her new children’s book Long May She Wave: The True Story of Caroline Pickersgill and Her Star-Spangled Creation and dress in 19th-century garb in the Children’s Discovery Gallery. THURSDAY: Yoga Under the Stars at Green Spring Station

Green Spring Station is partnering with Wee Chic Children’s Store and ivviva Towson by Lululemon to bring Yoga Under the Stars to the Courtyard at the Station. Every Thursday evening from 6-7 pm, kids, tweens and teens ages 6 years and older are invited to participate in FREE yoga practice designed for the younger set. Ivivva will have a special trunk show at Wee Chic, too! Enjoy drinks on the patio at Tark’s while your kids find their zen. MORE

FRIDAY: Cooking Up Chemistry at the Science Center

There is so much fun that children can experience in the kitchen. The Kids Room staff at the Maryland Science Center will be showing off a few of their favorite chemistry experiments that actually start (and sometimes end) with foods, oils, or soaps found in the kitchen. Learn how mixing stuff together can be the exciting beginning of a science adventure. 3 PM – 3:30 PM and free with paid admission. MORE

Looking ahead to the weekend…. WTMD’s Family Fest!  The pint-sized tunes will be rocking in Towson this June! Overwhelmed by the success of their Saturday Morning Tunes kids’ concert series, WTMD is kicking things up a notch and hosting their first Saturday Morning Tunes Family Mini Festival! Their opening their doors and rocking both the studio and WTMD plaza on Saturday, June 17th. MiniFest goers will be treated the musical stylings of sing/storyteller Barry Louis Polisar and hear the debut of WTMD’s new fam-friendly house band, The Cartunes.
