This Saturday, 50 area girls between the ages of 6 and 14 will be hitting the ‘white carpet’ at ivivva’s first Baltimore-area Function Show.
What is a Function Show? The girls-focused athletic wear company’s version of a fashion show. Models will rock the runway but rather than focus on the beauty of the clothing, the DJ will highlight each girl’s aspiration, favorite sport, and how the clothes are functional in helping them achieve their goals.
“We love our girls and we believe in our product,” said Towson store manager Stacie DeHaven. “This Function Show is an opportunity to bring both together in a way that empowers & unifies the young girls in our community.”
Show participants were selected from an open casting call on ivivva Towson’s Instagram & Facebook pages. The first 50 girls to RSVP were brought in for a fitting and a mini interview. Half of the girls participating are new to the brand while the other half are current ivivva enthusiasts.
ivivva Towson, which serves as the brand’s store for the entire Maryland area, hosted an in-store Function Show with 15 girls last year. This year is bigger and better, with the show taking over the Grand Court at Towson Town Center. After the show, attendees are invited back to ivivva’s store for an after party — snacks, photo booth, hair braiding, and more!
Perfect daughter date night!
** Please note that Towson Town Center’s PGR policy will be in effect that evening, so all guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to the show.
