Join Port Discovery for a fun-filled Saturday dedicated to children five and under. Take part in yoga for families with Magical Mats. Sing and dance along with entertaining stories and music from the Kindersinger. Participate in family art projects, and get festive with on face painting fun. Also take part in an interactive version of our limited-time only play The Little Engine that Could by Watty Piper, performed at Port Discovery with special permission from Penguin Random House. Yogi Friends will improve strength, flexibility, and coordination. Children will learn self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun and challenging poses, partner and group poses. Cultivate your creative spirit and support your child’s artistic thinking in this 60 minute Art Lab Playshop. It is all about process: digging in deep and seeing where the creative spark takes us—there is no need to work towards “finishing” an art project. Through following our curiosity and playing with materials we make art by moving our bodies in space and on the page. Childlike exploration is the sole purpose for both you and your child.  Your bond is strengthened, your need for perfection is invited to stand aside, you’re in community experimenting with ideas, you’re opening to the creative process. Baltimore St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Baltimore’s St. Patrick’s day parade is truly the jewel in Maryland’s emerald crown. For more than 50 years thousands of spectators have crowded the streets and sidewalks of downtown Baltimore and the famous Inner Harbor to watch thousands more march and celebrate Irish culture, music, song and dance.
