Monster Jam @ Royal Farms Arena

Sensory Morning @ The Walters

Join The Walters for a morning of accessible museum programming designed specifically for visitors with Sensory Processing Disorders and their entire family. They welcome participants an hour before the museum opens to the public, allowing families to enjoy the Museum during quiet, less stimulating hours. Educators from the Walters Art Museum and therapists from Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Center for Autism and Related Disorders facilitate all program activities. Living History Characterizations at the Great Blacks in Wax Museum

Youth, ages ten to eighteen, from the Great Blacks in Wax Museum’s Growing Griots Literacy Learning Program (GGLLP) will offer living history presentations. Donning period costumes, they will assume the character of historical personalities such as Ida B. Wells and Henry “Box” Brown. Storytelling, dance, drumming, and singing will also be featured. Performances will occur throughout the day. Free with paid admission. MORE

American Girl Doll Addy Walker was an enslaved girl who sought freedom with her mother in Philadelphia. Learn about the difficult decisions Addy had to make and her adjustment from slavery to freedom during this tea for children ages 4 to 12. The event includes tea, conversation, crafting a wooden spool doll like Addy’s, and a tour of Mount Clare that explains the history of slavery at Mount Clare and in Baltimore. MORE
