Observe Venus Night @ The Maryland Science Center
February 10th | 5:30 PM – 9 PM

Join Maryland Science Center staff for a special edition of their weekly “Friday Night Stargazing” to enjoy a view of the brilliant planet Venus. Through our telescope you can see that Venus is a planet that goes through phases (it’s not always Full phase). Friday admission to the Observatory is free (does not include access to the Museum). The Observatory is on the roof of the Maryland Science Center and is open to the outdoors, so please dress appropriately. MORE

We believe that kindness is contagious — so (cool) progeny is hosting two community play dates on Little Lion Challenge Day to help kids all over Baltimore make a BIG ROAR! Valentine’s Day @ The Maryland Zoo

Fall in love with a special day filled with animal enrichment.  Join us on Sunday, February 12th and see some of your favorite animals receive Valentine’s Day themed treats, like red fruit, fish-filled icicles, and food-filled paper mache. Enrichment activities help enhance the care that keepers provide for Zoo animals by adding variety and stimulation to the animals’ daily routines.  Every enrichment item is specifically developed for each animal to help elicit species-specific wild behaviors.
