Observe Venus Night

Join Maryland Science Center staff for a special edition of their weekly “Friday Night Stargazing” to enjoy a view of the brilliant planet Venus. Through our telescope you can see that Venus is a planet that goes through phases (it’s not always Full phase).
Friday admission to the Observatory is free (does not include access to the Museum). The Observatory is on the roof of the Maryland Science Center and is open to the outdoors, so please dress appropriately. American Girl Doll Addy Walker was an enslaved girl who sought freedom with her mother in Philadelphia. Learn about the difficult decisions Addy had to make and her adjustment from slavery to freedom during this tea for children ages 4 to 12. The event includes tea, conversation, crafting a wooden spool doll like Addy’s, and a tour of Mount Clare that explains the history of slavery at Mount Clare and in Baltimore. Roundhouse Model Train Show

The Roundhouse Model Train Show brings real trains and model trains together under one roof at the B&O’s historic Roundhouse.
