Okay, so we may be a little overly excited about this weekend’s premier of Trolls. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t a ton of other fun things going on around our city this weekend! Head on down to The Great Baltimore Oyster Festival, find your inner artist or get your science on.

Trolls @ The Senator Theatre 
November 5 – 6 | Times Vary

The much-anticipated movie of the fall opens on Friday, November 4th — TROLLS! (C’mon, you’ve been having that ‘feeling down in your bones’ since June, right?) It’s making an appearance at the Senator Theatre so catch it on the old school screen! And stop at Clark Burger for a bite before or after the show. MORE

Music Box: Cars, Trucks, Trains & Boats
November 5 | 10 AM – 12:30 PM

All aboard! The sounds of travel come alive as we sing about cars, trucks, trains and boats! The Music Box Series gives your budding music lover the chance to explore music through highly engaging and interactive performances. Each half-hour concert features the musical talents of a small ensemble of BSO musicians performing classical and children’s songs to develop musicality, creativity, coordination and literacy. November 5 | 12 PM – 3 PM

Kids can engage in arts and crafts activities with teaching artists Terry Barnes and Alexandra Gonzalez on Saturday at the Creative Alliance! Families and children of all ages can also tour Creative Alliance’s galleries and create unique art projects that are linked to our exhibitions. Stop in for a quick visit or stay for an entire afternoon to explore art materials and make new friends. MORE

Family Art Day @ Towson University

Drop-in for a day of interactive art activities, dance workshops and galleries tours all inspired by the current art exhibitions. MORE

Vino in Vogue

Taste wines from Harbor East restaurants, poured by their top sommeliers and connoisseurs, while you enjoy an afternoon of swirling, sampling and shopping (this is Harbor East, after all). Tasting tables hosted by select neighborhood restaurants will line the sidewalks of Harbor East, offering pours of three wines from their impressive cellars. Love one of the selections? The Great Baltimore Oyster Festival

Waterfront Partnership and The Chesapeake Bay Foundation are teaming up again to host The Great Baltimore Oyster Festival! This event will be held on Saturday, November 5th from 1pm to 5pm at West Shore Park. Enjoy live music by the High & Wides and Tongue in Cheek, oysters, other seafood options, alcohol, food trucks, family friendly activities and interactive Chesapeake Bay themed displays! MORE

Youth Parkour Jam

Urban Evolution Baltiomore is hosting a parkour jam for white bands and green bands alike from the ages of 9-17. Join UE Baltimore and test those parkour skills you’ve been practicing in the gym by applying them in the real world. MORE

29th Annual Culture Show @ JHU

Join the Office of Multicultural Affairs in its 29th Annual Culture Show, a collaborative showcase of artistic cultural expression celebrating the many cultures represented & embraced by Hopkins students. It was established in 1987 as part of CultureFest, a tradition founded to promote understanding and appreciation of cultural differences. CultureFest has since evolved into CultureSCAPE: a series of events, performances and programs that cultivate the appreciation and understanding of the many cultures at Johns Hopkins throughout the year. The War of the World
