Fells Point Fun Festival

That’s right, this event is free. Come down to Fell’s Point and celebrate the festival’s 50th year event! Love music? Listen to over 10 live artists on 2 different stages – time to get your jam on. 20th Annual Fall Harvest Festival @ Summers Farm

This is the season for homegrown fun and farm fresh adventures at Summers Farm in Frederick, Maryland. Madonnari Arts Festival

This 3-day cultural event will showcase elaborate chalk paintings created by artists directly on the streets of Little Italy. Donate Life Family Fun Run @ Camden Yards

The Donate Life Family Fun Run has been celebrating the lives of organ donors and transplant recipients for 8 years. A 5k run and walk, with goal to raise awareness for organ and tissue donation and celebrate the generosity of donors and their families. Proceeds from the Donate Life Family Fun Run benefit The Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland’s community outreach and education efforts, as well as our aftercare program and workshops for donor families. Fawns Weekend Sensory Series @ Irvine Nature Center

The goal of Irvine’s Children’s Nature Series (CNS) is to provide our region’s youngest learners with age-appropriate classes in which to discover the wonders of wildlife alongside their caregiver. Infants and toddlers explore nature with their favorite adult during a 6-week series of outdoor learning. This program invites our youngest learners to discover nature with their senses: observing the wonder of live animals, smelling fall leaves or spring flowers, feeling the chill of winter followed by the taste of a freshly cooked snack, and listening to the songs of the natural world. Honey Harvest Festival

Bee lovers and beekeepers are headed to the Oregon Ridge Nature Center for the celebration of the Honey Harvest Festival. Members of the Central Maryland Beekeepers Association will kick off the festivities on Saturday with hive demonstrations, beeswax candle dipping, and mead (honey wine) making. Children’s activities include face painting, puppet shows, and animal encounters. Food and drink will be sold. Special features this year include American crafts such as wool spinning and blacksmithing. MORE

Baltimore Jazz Festival

Baltimore Jazz Alliance is excited to announce the creation of Baltimore Jazz Fest ­ a free, family­-friendly, full day of Baltimore jazz, held in beautiful Druid Hill Park in the heart of Baltimore City. Produced in partnership with Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks, the festival will feature a fantastic lineup of Baltimore talent, starting with some of the city’s finest high school jazz musicians and moving through the day with a trove of local talent, including many of their most well-known and -loved artists. Food stands and a beer garden, a musical instrument “Petting Zoo” for the kids, local artists, and the beautiful surroundings of Druid Hill Park and the Rawlings Conservatory will make this a great way to spend the day seeing and hearing many of Baltimore’s greatest jazz artists all in one place.
