You can beat the heat AND catch ’em all this week at Baltimore County public libraries during their Poké Week celebration! (Yes, BCPL branches are cool — their AC is running AND they’ve got Poké game!) Here’s what they let us know in a recent press release:
Through August 18, BCPL will be setting off lures each night all around Baltimore County. Each night, four branches (schedule below) will set off Poké Lures at 6:30 p.m. to help players catch the elusive critters.
Once at a branch, players should find a librarian wearing a Pokémon button and tell them what team they’re on and what Pokémon he or she caught while at the library. Participants can check in anytime throughout the day — not just during the lures. At the end of the day, the team with the most check-ins will take control of that branch, just like a Poké Gym in the game!
Players are sure find some unexpected Poké Fun during the week; most branches are planning Pokémon-themed activities throughout the day and during the lure drop. There will be special BCPL Pokémon stickers available while supplies last and participants are encouraged to wear their team colors!
BCPL wants to see what the Poké hunters catch and hear about their library adventures! Pokémon Week players should tweet or post Pokémon Crawl photos to us using hashtag #PokeCrawlBCPL on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
