MONDAY: Beach Party Bash at the B&O!
Celebrate Summer at the B&O with a Beach Party Bash! Discover your end of summer adventure with fun hands-on activities to keep kids entertained and engaged.Activities include 10:30 a.m. story time, t-shirt making (bring your own t-shirt!), sand fun, boat building, potato sack racing, Thomas power wheels, bounce house, games, and surprise appearances by Elsa, Anna, and Choo Choo Blue! The bash runs all week long with train rides on Thursday and Friday. 10 AM – 2 PM. General Museum admission: $18 for Adults, $16 for Seniors (60+), $12 for children (2-12). Check out the Maryland Zoo Adventure Program at the Druid Hill Farmer’s Market from 5:30 to 7:00: Beauty and the Creepy Crawly Beasts! In August, insect season is in full swing! Sure, reusing and recycling are in vogue now — but did you know artists were recycling materials to create art during medieval times? Join (cool) progeny and Downtown Partnership of Baltimore for an evening of family art making at The Walters Art Museum that celebrates, well, turning trash into treasure! Tie-dye your own tote bags, make art with the creativity gurus from the Walters, explore their special exhibit Waste Not: The Art of Medieval Recycling, go on a family scavengART hunt (you might just win a family membership to the museum!), and help us with a secret (fun!) community creation.
