Sure, reusing and recycling are in vogue now — but did you know artists were recycling materials to create art during medieval times? Join (cool) progeny and Downtown Partnership of Baltimore for an evening of family art making at The Walters Art Museum that celebrates, well, turning trash into treasure! Tie-dye your own tote bags, make art with the creativity gurus from the Walters, explore their special exhibit Waste Not: The Art of Medieval Recycling, go on a family scavengART hunt (you might just win a family membership to the museum!), and help us with a secret (fun!) community creation. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Proceeds from your $5 family pass will be donated entirely to the Walter’s school and family programs!
