Paint-Out Ellicott City

Artists from around the region will take to the streets of Old Ellicott City beginning July 8 to participate in the plein air paint-out event, Paint It! Ellicott City. En plein air, meaning “in the open air,” is the technique of painting outdoors, directly from life. Often, groups of plein air artists will gather within stated boundaries for a “paint-out.” The Howard County Arts Council, Howard County Tourism, and the Ellicott City Partnership are presenting the paint-out weekend that culminates in an exhibit at the Howard County Center for the Arts (HCCA). Baltimore’s newest Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) destination, B’More SUP, will host Charm City’s first ever athletic fashion show on the water in partnership with Style Magazine and benefitting Blue Water Baltimore. MARC in partnership with My Lady’s Manor Driving Club will be hosting an afternoon of carriage fun and games. Pack a lunch, bring the whole family. See a variety of horse carts up close, learn more about the sport, then cheer the drivers on as they navigate a series of 6 farm-themed obstacles set up in the outdoor arena. Baltimore Farmers’ Market & Bazaar
July 10 | 7 AM – 12 PM

While strolling through Maryland’s largest producers-only market (producers-only meaning all vendors make what they sell), shoppers can revel at the sight of a vast quantity of foods, including crisp seasonal fruits and vegetables, poultry, seafood, beef, pork, lamb, bison, goat, rabbit, fresh baked goods, flavorful herbs and organically raised and produced milk, yogurt, butter, eggs and cheese products. Additionally, dozens of food vendors add spice to the market with multicultural cuisine such as popular pit beef sandwiches, omelets and breakfast burritos, crepes, wood fired pizzas, pies and quiches, soups, noodles and dumplings. Vegan items are sold as well. Many of our farmers accept credit/debit, and Independence cards, and there is an ATM on site. MORE
