Coppermine Summer Camps offer fun-filled activities, sports, arts, day trips, and adventure for campers of all ages! So what kind of fun-filled activities can you expect? Well, that depends on the camp. Coppermine offers camps for ages 3 through 15 at their Fieldhouse location on Falls Road, DuBurns arena location in Canton, and Training Center location at Cross Keys. Soccer camps, gymnastics camps, lacrosse camps, creativity camps, pony camps, swim camps — there is even a camp devoted entirely to field trips around the Baltimore area (think Port Discovery, Maryland Zoo, Urban Pirates…). Join children’s designer Mary Helen of Mary Helen Clothing at Wee Chic for an engaging 4-day Fashion Design experience! Perfect for the budding designers in your world. Enrolled students learn all the steps of fashion design from inspiration and sketching to pattern making and sewing their very own item. All materials are supplied. The session concludes with a Friday fashion show for the families of our mini-designers to show off their creations. Because, at Irvine, nature activities are synonymous with childhood in summer. Irvine offers 40 different nature-inspired camp sessions from June 13th through August 26th. Think trail walks, science experiments, nature games and crafts, and encounters with animals! Themes range from Animal Caregivers to Pirates to Chesapeake Chefs to Nature Photography to Wilderness Survival. Overnights and daytime aftercare are available with some sessions. Fairy tale engineering. Sci-Fi Writer’s Workshop. A combination of LOST-meets-Survivor-meets science adventure. Summer Camp at the Maryland Science Center is anything but ordinary. From June 27th through July 29th, the Science Center is offering a variety of full-and-half-day camp options for kids ages 4-13. Added bonus? They provide lunch for full-day campers (and it’s not your nostalgic summer camp PBJ — chicken alfredo, popcorn chicken, and grilled hamburgers are all on the menu!).
