Charm City Players premiers Seussical the Musical
Charm City Players presents Seussical the Musical, a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza. All of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters are brought to life. Features free face painting, free parking, free pre-show activities, live orchestra, and meet the cast. Show runs 2 weekends only! Performances this weekend are Saturday 2 and 7:30PM and Sunday at 2 PM. MORE

Young Inventors/STEAM Day
Create, Innovate and Experience the national Maker Movement at Garrison Forest School on Saturday afternoon! Through their Creative Co-op, students design and build robots, knit infinity scarves with their arms, draw with 3-D doodle pens, design one-of-a-kind decals on the laser cutter, build marble run games and much more. During the Young Inventors/STEAM Day, you and your daughter will experience many of these activities and meet GFS students who know that anything is possible and who explore those possibilities every day! This event is for girls ages 5-11 and their parents. This event is designed to be an introduction to Garrison Forest School. Currently enrolled families are encouraged to bring a friend. Zoo Bloom
Spring is almost here! It’s time to escape hibernation and head to The Maryland Zoo for their first big event of the new Zoo season. Join them Saturday, March 12th from 10am – 4pm for Zoo Bloom and Farm Day. They’ll be welcoming spring (and warmer weather) with special activities and treats for you and the animals, as well as learning about the animals that live on farms. As part of this special event the Zoo will be featuring a full schedule of animal enrichment, where animals will receive spring-themed treats. They’ll even have free treats on hand for you from Charm City Cakes. It’s a great day to see some of your favorite animals at their most active times…so don’t forget your camera! MORE

The Physics of Superheroes
The Physics of Superheroes! Dr. James Kakalios, will lead a presentation examining the world of physics in the comic book world based on his book, “The Physics of Superheroes”. Dr. Kakalios is a frequent consultant for Hollywood movies, including “Watchmen” and “The Amazing Spiderman”. Children and adults are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero. 11 AM – 1 PM. James and the Giant Peach
Children’s Playhouse of Maryland, Inc. opens its spring season with the musical “James and the Giant Peach, Jr.” Performances will be given on weekends March 5 through March 20 in the Lecture Hall of the Administration Building at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd. The ensemble cast includes 25 student actors from Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Howard counties. Performances at 1 PM on Saturday and Sunday, and performance at 4:30 PM on Saturday. MORE

Great Big Animals
The BSO’s Brass Quintet echoes the movements and vibrations of creatures wild and tame as your child explores classical music and animals. This program emphasizes listening and motor and language skills development for children.
Join the team at the Gordon Center for the Arts on Sunday as they welcome a talented ensemble of BSO musicians for engaging interactive performances designed to make classical music fun and accessible for our little ones. All concerts will be held in the Gordon lobby which will be filled with a range of musical and creative activities for babies and families. Seating is unreserved. Be sure to join us 30 minutes prior to each concert for fun and exploration with your child.

5th Annual Shamrock Shindig
Live music by The Shamrogues, food trucks, beer, wine, Shamrock Alley for kids, strolling entertainment and more! This event will take place Sunday, March 13th from 10:30AM to 2PM at Pierce’s Park, located at Pier V. Following the event will be the St. Patrick’s Day parade which kicks off at 2pm. Admission to the event is FREE and includes the band and strolling entertainment. Shamrock Kid’s Pass is available in advance and at the door for $5 and includes parade gear, a temporary tattoo, and access to Shamrocks Alley featuring 2 crafts and activities for children! All You Can Drink Wristbands are available in advance for $30 ($35 at the door) and includes unlimited beer and wine from 10:30am to 2pm and asignature Shamrock Shindig koozie! Baltimore St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Baltimore’s St. Patrick Parade is truly the jewel in Maryland’s emerald crown. For more than 50 years, thousands of spectators from the region have crowded the streets and sidewalks of downtown Baltimore and the famous Inner Harbor to watch thousands more march and celebrate Irish culture, music, song, and dance. The Parade steps off at 2:00 p.m. at the Washington Monument on Sunday, proceeds down Charles Street and continues to Pratt Street and Market Place. MORE
