The White House Easter Egg Roll. It’s kind of a Bucket List item for us. You, too?

Then consider this reminder just for you — the White House Easter Egg Roll lotto opens on FRIDAY (February 12th) at noon ET! It will stay open until 12 noon ET on Wednesday, February 17th.

It’s not just an egg hunt. The Easter Egg Roll features live music, storytelling, sports and fitness zones, cooking demonstrations, and traditional Easter activities such as the egg roll and egg hunt. Last year, DJ Fussyman, Diggy Simmons, Fifth Harmony, MKTO, Newsies, Sesame Street, and “So You Think You Can Dance” All-Stars performed on the Rock ‘n’ Egg Roll Stage. In addition, there were many celebrity readers on the Storytime Stage and professional athletes participating in the Eggtivity Zone. The complete talent line-up for the 2016 Easter Egg Roll will be listed here as soon as it is announced in March.

From their website:

Easter Egg Roll tickets are free and are available via an online lottery. The official Easter Egg Roll lottery will be held on the Recreation.gov website. To enter the lottery, you will be prompted to create an account on the Recreation.gov website (or login if you already have an account). The lottery page will have a list of all of the available time slots and you will rank them in the order of your preference. Each household is limited to one lottery application for a maximum of six tickets. You will also need to specify the number of adults/children on the ticket request screen along with your time slot choices. Here is an example lottery screen from 2013 (subject to change for 2016).

Lottery results will be available on February 25, 2016. Email notifications from Recreation.gov will be sent after that date to the lottery winners with instructions for obtaining tickets.
