I Have a Dream Weekend at Port Discovery
Community comes to life over the three-day “I Have a Dream” weekend! Join Port Discovery as they celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with programs and performances. Check the website for a complete listing of events. Saturday – Monday. MORE

Drop-In Art Activities: Wonderful Words
Explore the Walters’ collection through writing and words. Write stories and speak with your hands through art! Every weekend join The Walters in their studios and create artful projects related to the collection and special exhibitions. Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM – 3 PM. MORE

Mommy + Me Zumba
One of Wee Chic’s most popular classes is even better in January because moms are invited to join in and have a blast with their fav little ladies. Join Zumba Instructor, Di Bobrow at Wee Chic to shake it to latin beats. Zumba is dance fitness that incorporates elements of hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo for a high energy workout perfect for little dancers. Best for ages 7+. Saturday, 10 AM. $5 MORE

MLK Celebration at The Reginald F. Lewis Museum
Celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with activities for all ages. Come early for an MLK Birthday Party for kids with cupcakes plus crafts. Other activities include: “Da Up Raise: A Choreopoem,” presented by the Positive Social Change Theater/Performing Arts Program of Augusta Fells Savage High School of Baltimore, MD which combines theater, spoken word, dance, and song to make a better tomorrow; a choral performance by the acapella group, Shades of Yale; and more. Frosty Family Film Fest: Inside Out
Escape the cold and the winter blahs for fun family-friendly movies. This Saturday, catch Inside Out! Showings at 1 PM and 4 PM. Harford Community College. MORE

Yoga & Crafts at Yankee Doodle Art Studio
Let your kid relax with some Yoga and then use their creativity for a specialty craft. They will be engaged peacefully from 10:00 am – Noon on Sunday, January 17th at the Yankee Doodle Art Studio at Shawan Plaza. Cost is $30 per child and kids must be ages 5-14. Ice Skate with The Next Ice Age
Enjoy a live performance from the characters from the movie The Next Ice Age and then ice skate with them!  Admission is $9 for adults, $7 for children, and skate rentals will be available for $4 (or bring your own pair!). Pandora Ice Rink is located at the Top of the Amphitheater in the Inner Harbor, between the Harborplace Pavilions. Sunday, 12 PM – 2 PM. MORE

Winter Afternoon “Campout”

Your favorite downtown attractions will be OPEN on Monday! Take the kids to the Science Center, Port Discovery, or the American Visionary Art Museum (it’s FREE on Monday!) before catching the parade!
