Along with year-round classes, O’Connor School of Irish Dance participates in local performances, competitions, the Baltimore St Patrick’s Day Parade, the Maryland Irish Festival, and other events throughout the region.

Dancers learn about discipline, coordination, and teamwork. Instructors will guide them in their dancing while they learn solo soft shoe and hard shoe dancing along with ceili dancing and choreographed performance routines.

Beginners will start by learning the basic movements such as “skips” and “sevens”, the Beginner Reel and Jig. Should they stick with it they will eventually move up to learn hard shoe as well!
