Imagination Stage, the popular DC-based Children’s theatre, comes to Baltimore next week. They’ll be performing their newest early childhood show, “Blue” on Tuesday, May 19, Wednesday, May 20, and Thursday, May 21, at the Chesapeake Arts Center.

Perfect for kids ages 1-5, Blue is the best reason to skip story time next week. And take in a bit of theatre instead.

“This lovely piece gently introduces children to the idea that “different” is good. Set in a garden, and using simple props, children will interact with Inky and Pale as they learn that life in their blue world may be limiting,” says Director Kathryn Chase Bryer.

Imagination Stage Blue

Blue takes place in a world where blue is the only color. Blue flowers, blue grass, even blue cereal! Inky Blue and Pale Blue live in such a world until they discover something RED! In this interactive show, Inky and Pale play with humor, whimsy, and all the colors of the rainbow.

Kathryn is “curious to watch these characters impart the concepts of sharing and understanding to our youngest patrons, using all the colors of the rainbow!”

So are we! Showtimes are 10:30 and 11:45 each performance day. Tickets are $5 for children, $10 for adults. Purchase tickets here.
