I think what this situation needs is some imagination…

Does your preschooler rattle that tune off all day? Do you find yourself singing it in the shower (it’s kinda catchy, right?). On June 28th, your kiddo can get their imagination grooving with their favorite mover. The Emmy-award winning stars of the hit Disney Junior Channel series, The Imagination Movers are headed to Charm City!

“Reach High! Think Big! Work Hard! Have Fun!” {repeat}

The New Orleans-based Movers – Rich Collins, Scott Durbin, Dave Poche and Scott “Smitty” Smith – are known around the world for their hit preschool TV series. But you may not have known that the guys deliver a highly exhilarating, exciting and exhausting (hello, fabulous afternoon nap!) rock concert experience. They’ll be in town for one show only on June 28 at The Maryland Zoo’s Waterfowl Lake Pavilion.

Don’t worry. I know what you’re thinking. Is this a take-one-for-the-team kid concert?  Not at all. The Movers are all parents, too. In fact, they started as a group of dads brainstorming songs after their kids went to bed. What was next? An Emmy-award winning Disney television show. This isn’t a kids’ concert where you may nonchalantly slip the earbuds in (I know you’ve done it before). You’ll hear references to Journey, Van Halen, and the like. It’s super (cool).

In addition to singing along, you and the kids will learn ridiculous dances and marvel at the sight of confetti cannons, giant smoke rings and, of course, roll after roll of flying toilet paper.

{Yes, I said flying toilet paper.}

Doors open at 12:00pm and the fun begins at 1:00pm.

“We love and appreciate all of our fans,” says “Mover Dave” Poche. “We can’t wait to put on an amazing show and get to spend time with everybody who helped us create our new CD/DVD. It’s going to be so much fun; we guarantee everybody will need a nap afterward.”

Tickets are $20 for Zoo members, $25 for non-Zoo members and family four-packs are available for $60 (member) or $75 (non-member). Non-member tickets also include admission to the Zoo on show day.

You can add an extra special meet-and-greet experience to any ticket! For an additional $25, fans can attend a special meet and greet where they’ll be able to chat with the band, take pics and get autographs. Children must attend the meet and greet with an adult. One VIP ticket per person is required for ages 2 and up.

The Imagination Movers Live show is sponsored by Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital. Tickets for the show and the special “Meet and Greet” are on sale now at www.marylandzoo.org.
