One of Baltimore’s favorite treasures is FREE all the time! If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to soak in some culture and tap your child’s inner Piccaso over spring break, The Walters Art Museum should be your destination. It’s internationally renowned for it’s collection of art — and beloved by Charm City parents for its kid-friendliness.
YES! It IS kid-friendly. The Walters offers a variety of extraordinary programs where you can make innovative art, enjoy live performances, play dress up or tour the museum with a kid-friendly Family Guide designed to foster discovery. Their programs and interpretive materials encourage a variety of approaches to looking at, talking about and creating art in order to support creativity, curiousity and critical thinking. Audiences of all ages can experience and enjoy art together.

The Downtown Partnership of Baltimore is your connection to everything that’s happening in Maryland’s largest business center, cultural district, and fastest-growing neighborhoods. Their web and social media tools help everyone find dining, shopping, events… even a place to live or start a business. Their innovative programs stimulate economic development and transform public spaces. They’re also good neighbors. Downtown Partnership teams of uniformed Ambassadors pick up tons (literally) of litter, maintain public parks, and we host dozens of free events each month. You may or may not know that they are the producers of some of Downtown’s best events including Baltimore Restaurant Week, The Monument Lighting, Dollar or Less Days, and Pints in the Park.
