Family Fun Concert with Concert Artists of Baltimore
Out of nowhere, a Wizard is magically transported onto the stage. Unsure of how he got there, the conductor and orchestra try to find a way to send him back home. When excellent music and magic wands fail, the book of magic is summoned. The Wizard must elude the watch of a very strict Orchestra Librarian to gain access to the book’s contents. Will the Wizard ever get home? Head to the Gordon Center for the Performing Arts and see if the Wizard can sneak past the Librarian! Scope Out the Night Sky
The Maryland Science Center and Robinson jointly present this exciting family-focused astronomy event. Enjoy a planetarium presentation, build your very own GalileoScope (a functional telescope for night sky viewing; $50 value), hold a meteorite and view the stars through telescopes (weather-permitting). $24 per family (up to five members). Digital Sticker, Stencil & Screenprinting Lab
FutureMakers is joining the Baltimore Museum of Art to present a set of workshops that connect the BMA collection, craft traditions and contemporary electronics. Meena Satnarain will lead a 2-part workshop in digital vinyl graphics, screen printing and soft circuits. Join Meena on Sunday, Jan 25th from 1 to 4 PM for a vinyl graphics and screen printing workshop to print found images on found textiles at the Baltimore Robotics Center. Learn how to create stickers and silkscreen stencils using adhesive sign vinyl, hand cutting tools, digital drawing tools and robotic plotting and cutting machines.
