Fells Point Fun Festival
The Fell’s Point Fun Festival takes place in historic Fell’s Point on Thames Street on the water between Caroline and Wolfe Streets and North on Broadway to Aliceanna this weekend — Friday – Sunday! The Kids Zone presented by Urban Pirates (Saturday + Sunday) will feature a block full of inflatable bounce houses and slides, face painters, and hands-on crafts. Performances by magicians, clowns, balloon twisters, pirates, and jugglers will delight and entertain kids of all ages throughout the weekend. MORE INFO

Fiesta Latina at the National Aquarium
Kicking off Fridays After Five, the Aquarium celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with “Fiesta Latina”on Oct 3. The event includes live music from Pablo Antonio y La Firma and Son Tres y Mas, a special exhibit of artifacts showcasing animals and plants found throughout Latin America, Latin-inspired cuisine and beer/wine for purchase. Honey Harvest Festival
Bee lovers and beekeepers are headed to the Oregon Ridge Nature Center for the celebration of the Honey Harvest Festival. Members of the Central Maryland Beekeepers Association will kick off the festivities on Saturday with hive demonstrations, beeswax candle dipping, and mead (honey wine) making. Children’s activities include face painting, puppet shows, and animal encounters. Food and drink will be sold. Special features this year include American crafts such as wool spinning and blacksmithing. Saturday and Sunday. MORE INFO

Chessie Jam – Children’s Music Festival
Chessie Jam – a Children’s Music Festival – at Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday, October 4th, 2014 will feature performances by Milkshake, Recess Monkey, Father Goose, Biz Markie from Yo Gabba Gabba and Justin Roberts. In addition to the national touring artists, Chessie Jam will have other fun and interactive activities for children such as face-painting, a children’s drum circle, a storybook village, a moon-bounce, a photo-booth, tie-dying, and more. Welcome Winter Family Fair
Part of Free Fall Baltimore! Join the COW Company Theatre as we welcome winter to Hampden! Community members of ALL AGES are welcome at this FREE event featuring displays from local artists & vendors, craft projects & games, and even a winter photo booth to help you get a jump on creating your holiday cards. The event will feature performances from the cast of “Cinderella: A Hampden Happily Ever After.” Saturday, 12 PM – 4 PM. MORE INFO

Kerplunk! at the Creative Alliance
Open to families and kids of all ages! Drop in to the Creative Alliance for a tour and family art making fun. Stop in for a quick visit or stay for the entire afternoon to make a collage, drawing, or sculpture. Youth must be accompanied by an adult. No reservations required. Saturday, 12 PM – 3 PM. Embracing Many Shades: Story Hour and Art Session
At the Reginald F. Lewis Museum. Children will hear the story, Shades of Beauty, and see a video reading of No Mirrors in My Nana’s House. An art collage and paper doll activity will follow.
