Editor’s Note: We are SO excited about this weekend’s Superhero Social! Get a jumpstart on the fun by making these easy Superhero Cuffs (which originally appeared on (cool) progeny last spring).
Kids love to transform into superheroes and with today’s super easy superhero craft, they can do just that in a few short minutes! Making lightening bolt superhero cuffs (out of glitter paper) will not only provide your little one with awesome imaginary powers, but will give you some real quality, one-on-one time!
- hole puncher
- school glue
- glitter card stock paper (can be found at any craft store)
- glow in the dark paint and paintbrush
Cut a strip of glitter card stock paper about 3 inches in height and long enough to fit your child’s wrist. Punch holes in both ends of the strip of paper.
Draw lightening bolts with a pencil on the reverse side of the glitter paper and then cut them out.
Glue on the lightening bolts and allow the glue to dry. If you want, as a fun added bonus, you can paint glow in the dark paint on the top of the lightening bolts.
Thread yarn through the holes and tie the band closed in the shape of a cuff.
You are finished and ready to use your super powers! Super job!
