Family Saturdays at the Senator: Babe
Head to the Senator on Saturday morning for family movie fun! This weekend they are showing Babe, A Chris Noonan Film (G – 1995). It stars James Cromwell, Magda Szubanski & Christine Cavanaugh. Civil War Era Tea Party at The B&O Railroad Museum
Children and families are invited to join the ladies of the Maine Camp Hospital Association for a Civil War era tea party. Enjoy tea and snacks that were common in that period. Learn about social and home front issues and the work that was done for wounded soldiers by these ladies during the War. Winter Wonders Fairy Tea Party at Robinson Nature Center
Ages 3 years and older with parent. It’s a party, and you and your child are invited! Enjoy a special winter fairy program in which your little one “flies” through the nature center, learns about the forest habitat and creates his/her very own fairy house to take home. Part of Pumpkin Theatre’s “Kids for Kids” series, this show will feature actors 5 to 17 years of age working with Pumpkin Artists to present a professional Main Stage Production. Follow the musical adventure of Horton, an elephant who one day hears voices coming from a speck of dust and spends the rest of his days protecting his new friends from WhoVille. Maple Sugaring Weekends at Oregon Ridge Nature Center
Come on down to their Sugar Shack any time between 10AM and 4PM Saturday or Sunday to learn the magic behind the fascinating process of making maple syrup! Take an invigorating hike to the sugar bush to tap a tree for sap. Then, taste maple syrup and sugar! Hikes on the hour. Sugar on the snow demos at 12:30 and 3:45. Sugar time activities are FREE!
