Halloween doesn’t have to be skulls and ghouls — especially with a pint-sizer who spooks easily. These friendly monster ice cream treats will have all of your little monsters smiling.
Best part? They look super (cool) and are virtually effortless. The super sweet secret? Eyes constructed from a Dum-Dum lollipop and peach ring. Simple. Sturdy. Sugary. Fun.
Older kids will love putting their mad scientist skills to work and making their own. Younger kids will love diving into the ice cream.
Just another #deliciousmoment.
Monster Mash Sundaes
- Vanilla Ice Cream (or you favorite Breyer’s flavor!)
- Dum Dum Lollipops (2 per monster)
- Peach Rings (2.5 per monster)
- Colorful Cups
How to Make the Ice Cream Monsters
Using the food coloring of your choice, dye the coconut (or monster fur). Scoop ice cream into cups.
Cover ice cream with colored coconut.
Stretch peach rings over lollipop and insert into ice cream. Repeat for second eye. Cut one peach ring in half to make mouth.
Devour. Best enjoyed ‘eyes first’ according to the Bug.
Editor’s Note: This post is part of the Breyers’ Delicious Moments campaign, for which I am an ambassador. Because we are a program ambassador, we’ve got lots of ice cream-related content on (cool) progeny. Enjoy!
