Looking for a fun (and easy!) craft for Easter? The keyword being “easy” here. The kids will love this one: make crowns (yes crowns!) for your eggs. Perfect for blown-eggs or hardboiled eggs, these adorable little crowns are fit for a king or queen or (even better) any little prince or princess! To make them you only need a few simple materials and I bet you have most of these items in your craft stash already!

Materials Needed:

  • Card stock paper/ Thick paper/ Poster Board paper. We used gold poster paper I found at the craft store and (bonus!) the poster was backed in silver so I had two colors in one!
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Glue Stick
  • Glitter
  • Pencil

Instructions:

Step 1
Make a template of a crown out of card stock paper or regular paper. To make your template measure the top part of the egg with anything that will wrap around it (a string, paper even). The crown will connect on the ends with tape so you can fit it on top of your egg. To make the crown cut straight then form three triangle humps for the front of the crown, then cut straight again. Cut out your crown template.

Step 2
Trace the crown shape on your colored paper and cut out.

Step 3
Once you cut out your crowns from colored paper (card stock or poster) you can apply glue stick glue to the top of a few then sprinkle on glitter to make some glitter crowns!
