amuse toy store is giving back – and you can help!

Just a little post to help spread the love! With the holiday season approaching, aMuse Toys is looking to give back in a BIG way. Well, two big ways!

Cans for Fans

One is their Cans for Fans project. For every new fan they get on their Facebook page, between now and November 10th, they will donate a non-perishable food item to the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Food Drive. Pretty (cool) huh?

For 75 years the Kennedy Krieger Institute with its dedicated staff has worked to enrich the lives of children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and provide support and education to the families of these individuals. The institute’s food drive will give the donated items to local, low-income families of special-needs children in the Baltimore community.

If you wish to drop off an item in person, visit them at their Fells Point or Quarry Lake locations where they have collection boxes decorated by some of Kennedy Krieger’s own inspiring individuals.

Neighborhood Toy Store Day – 10% Give Back!

This year’s National Neighborhood Toy Store Day will be held on November 10th, 2012. To celebrate, aMuse will be donating 10% of that day’s sales to a local children’s organization. To suggest an organization, leave them a Facebook comment, send them a tweet (@amusetoys), stop by the store, or send them an email. The benefiting organization will be voted on by their Facebook fans on October 15-18.
