y of central maryland is looking for LEGO-loving volunteers

Love to build with LEGOs? Then the Y of Central Maryland wants YOU!

The Y is seeking volunteers to join us at The University of Maryland BioPark for Build for Bots – LEGO Build Day on Tuesday, September 18.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of robotics programs for Baltimore City School students by participating in a unique experience of assembling themed playing board models for the FIRST LEGO League (FLL). In the FLL, teams compete by building and programming robots that complete missions on a themed playing board. Each year, the playing board models must be constructed and those that volunteer allow students to focus their time on programming their robots to interact with the completed models.

Volunteers must sign up for at least one hour-long shift.
