Red, White & Zoo
Have a pre-fireworks blast and experience the wild life this July 4th at The Maryland Zoo. Celebrate Independence Day with all of the animals! From 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, join us the Maryland Zoo as they host Red, White, and Zoo! The animals will be joining the celebration by participating in enrichment activities, where each animal will get special items and star-spangled treats to help stimulate natural behaviors. The leopards may have an All-American ‘cookout’ with paper mache filled with meat or the polar bears may enjoy a nice fish ‘n ice lunch. Join us and come dressed in your best red, white, and blue outfit. It’s a perfect chance to declare your wild independence and ideal for photo ops.

Visionary Pets on Parade
Dress your pet & strut your stuff at the American Visionary Art Museum’s July 4th Pet Parade. Animal fun! Animal prizes! Trophies awarded for Best Costume, Most Patriotic, Most Visionary Pet, Owner & Pet look-alikes, Least likely to succeed as a Pet, Visionary Pet Tricks and more! Pets of ALL kinds are welcome. An Old Fashioned 4th of July at Fort McHenry
uly 4th was the most important holiday in early America. Many regarded the War of 1812 as “America’s Second War of Independence.” Join the garrison of Fort McHenry and patriotic citizens of Baltimore for the following activities: fife and drum music, cannon firing, a musket salute, poetry reading and period games. Highlight of the event will be the public reading of the Declaration of Independence at 3:00 p.m. More Info

Wit & Wisdom Celebrates 4th of July
Wit & Wisdom is hosting the “it” 4th of July soiree — and it’s pint-sizer friendly! Chill out on the harbor side patio of Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore for a foodie fiesta, featuring a pig roast, fried mac ‘n cheese on a stick, pudding pops, baked stuffed clams and more. There will be face painting, live entertainment and the perfect view of Baltimore’s famed fireworks. Tickets are available online for $75/adult and $20 per child.

Baltimore’s Ports America Chesapeake Fourth of July Celebration
Visit Baltimore’s Inner Harbor on Independence Day for live music and a spectacular fireworks show! Visitors can listen to live entertainment at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater, located at Pratt and Light streets. Starting at 4pm, Maryland-based band Mason Vixon performs original music and country songs with “rock rebellion.” Next to the stage is the U.S. Naval Academy Band Electric Brigade playing an entertaining arrangement of patriotic and pop music at 7pm. Preceding the fireworks, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake welcomes guests and officially kicks off Baltimore City’s Independence Day celebration. At 9:30pm, colorful fireworks ignite the sky above downtown Baltimore during an approximately 18-minute show. The fireworks show is choreographed to Top 40, classic and patriotic music that can be heard at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater, West Shore Park and the surrounding promenade. Prime locations for spectators to view the fireworks, in addition to the Inner Harbor, include Federal Hill, Fell’s Point and Harbor East. More Info

Independence Day Celebration at the Baltimore Museum of Industry
This family-friendly evening offers entertaining games, delicious food and drink, and open museum galleries, all leading up to the fireworks finale. Event passes include museum admission and parking. 4th of July Pier Party at The National Aquarium
Enjoy the best view of Baltimore’s fireworks and live entertainment for the whole family. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and you can also bring your own. Reservations are required for this popular event. Adults: $25 for members, $50 for non-members; Children (ages 3–11): $15 for members, $25 for non-members; Children under 3: FREE! Star Spangled Spectacular at Oregon Ridge Park
Be sure to bring your picnic basket for this all-American holiday celebration featuring such famed works as Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and Sousa’s Stars and Stripes culminating in a breathtaking fireworks display. A cozy blanket is the perfect seat for the sloping green lawn of Oregon Ridge as the BSO takes to the bandstand and lights up the night. Oregon Ridge Park opens at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children. Takes place on July 3rd and July 4th. More info/tickets

Catonsville Family Fun Fest & Fireworks
The parade and fireworks are part of a 13 hour day of patriotic festivities beginning at 9:30 a.m. and continuing until 10:30 p.m. that also includes children’s games, races and concerts. Annapolis Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks
Parade and fireworks: Parade starts at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Parade Route: West Street, around Church Circle, down Main Street to the City Dock. Naval Academy’s Concert Band will perform at the end of City Dock just prior to the fireworks. More Info

Rusty Scupper Crab Feast
