pinterest picks: felt play food for mini foodies

It’s no secret that I have closet Martha aspirations. I think every mom does. And it has nothing to do with wanting to be incredibly crafty — and everything to do with wanting to achieve the unattainable perfection. Or at least look like it to the rest of the world.

I’m blaming those repressed emotions on my current obsession with felt food. With the Bug’s third birthday {yikes! THIRD?!} around the corner, revamping her play kitchen sounds like a good idea.

Here’s a round up of felt food pinterestation (Pinterest + Inspiration). Forget the apples and oranges you’ve seen everywhere — these ideas are perfect for mini-foodies. Just too darn cute not to love.

Heather is editor-in-chief of (cool) progeny. When not scouting the best in everything kid and family, you'll probably find her running The Weisse Group or adventuring around town with her daughter (the Bug) and husband. Can be won over with a good glass of wine or something homemade. Addicted to Pinterest. Only pretends to know what she's doing with her SLR, even though she's got a fantastic lens on it. Thankful it does most of the work for her.

we are modern family

Who, us? We’re putting (cool) back in to the crazy, upside down world of modern parenting. All about raising fun, fashionable, active little thinkers with a strong cuppa coffee on the side.

Takes the Cake. You may know Mary Alice from her reality tv days or from her work at Charm City Cakes, but around this little slice of internet, we adore her for her wit. We love a mom with the two must-have senses for parenthood: common sense and a sense of humor.
