c’mon get hoppy: easter kids’ table ideas & FREE printables

The memory that comes to mind when I think of Easter is at my grandmother’s, sitting with my cousins at the kids’ table.  It was always such a treat to have our very own table, “away from the adults”, where we could whisper and giggle and just be kids.

Now that I am a parent, we have started doing that for my girls and their cousins for special meals.  The Easter table I have set up is SO easy.  You can literally do this in a few minutes.  Most of the props I used were things I already had at home that I pulled from my Easter stash.

The kids’ table should always be bright and festive!   My centerpiece is functional as well as cute.  I mixed some colored eggs and some plain ones in a pretty glass bowl.    Encourage their creativity with a bucket of crayons and some doodle friendly hard-boiled eggs.

Any element of dress up is always a winner at our house.  I found the quirky Easter bunny sunglasses in the Dollar Bin at Target.

Place settings are topped with edible Easter grass and a bright pink Easter Bunny Peep snuggled right inside.   The pink scalloped plates are from Party City and were perfect for this table.  I tied the napkins and forks with tulle to dress it up a bit.

Kids love to see their names!  Name cards and party circles from Cupcakes and Lemonade’s Easter Collection mark the spot for each little person and are perfect favor tags for the yummy cookie favors.    You can also use them to personalize their Easter baskets for the Egg Hunt!

Pull out those Easter decorations, make a trip to Target and create a fun Easter table for your little ones!

For a special treat just for our Cool Progeny readers, I am sharing the printables you see here, as well as the rest of our Easter Collection.  Just download from the link, print and enjoy!

Happy Easter!!

we are modern family

Who, us? We’re putting (cool) back in to the crazy, upside down world of modern parenting. All about raising fun, fashionable, active little thinkers with a strong cuppa coffee on the side.

Takes the Cake. You may know Mary Alice from her reality tv days or from her work at Charm City Cakes, but around this little slice of internet, we adore her for her wit. We love a mom with the two must-have senses for parenthood: common sense and a sense of humor.
