Pack a picnic lunch, hop on the Charm City Circulator, and head to West Shore Park for a day of free family fun! There will be entertainment for children of all ages including live “hip for hopping” children’s music performed by musician Danny Reaves; interactive cooking demos with Chrissa Carlson, Food For Life Educator, Hampstead Hill Academy & Owner/Operator, Urban Farmhouse Edible Landscape; Itsy Bitsy Yoga demos with the MAC’s Kay Smith; face painting by Charm City Face Painting; smoothies by Wheely Good Smoothies; aMuse’s active play area; MAC’s Fitness and Wellness zone; and the Charm City Circulator’s coloring station. An exciting festival of colors, expression, ideas, and sound – the International Festival is an educational experience which has an enduring impact. During the summer, Kids Can Second Sundays at the BMI become Brainstorm Challenges, where kids can flex their creative muscles by building a variety of projects. Join a trained museum educator for a hands-on, educational activity that mixes science and technology with fun. Brainstorm Challenges at the BMI are presented through Mattel and are recommended for ages 8-12. Free with admission. All activities start at 1:00 p.m. and last for approximately 1 hour.
